The Project uses Google Street View as a way to enter places that are otherwise unreachable due to political conflict - Abkhazia and South Ossetia, regions occupied by Russia where Georgian citizens cannot cross the militarised border.



While rebuilding my version of that world, the postcards become artefacts marking three timelines: Google’s original capture, my recreation, and the moment the postcard is used and sent.
